Every year I give my "word for the year" quite a bit of thought. This year I thought my word should be YES. Hmm...what does that mean? To me it means saying yes to things that I've been holding back from learning or actually practicing. Like learning how to do videos of my art process. That may sound silly but sometimes all of the techie things just get to be too much for my old brain. I enjoy watching others progress in their journey but fear, like everyone else, holds me back.
So here we go again, another fresh start, another year, another opportunity to learn new and fresh ideas. Please join me in making 2018 a year where you will say "yes" to branching out artistically and embracing different products, ideas and techniques.

ReplyDeleteI love your tag, Renee! I actually prefer to work with tags over anything else. I'm not sure what the fascination is but it brings me a lot of joy! Your word "yes" is definitely a motivating word for 2018. I hope that you will pursue your goal of videoing your art processes! My word is "knock!" I want to knock on doors that I have been afraid to open. I want to knock on doors I haven't felt deserving of opening. I want to search out new doors and knock on them!
