A spring card!
I started with a piece of glossy card stock that measures 4 1/4" by 5 1/2". I sprayed all four of the Tsukineko Walnut inks on the paper one at a time and after each spritz of the walnut inks I used a blast from the canned air to move the ink around on the paper.
Next I stamped Hero Arts "Silhouette Spray" stamp with Tsukineko Olympia Green VersaFine ink to get a good crisp image.
I used my Viva Pearl Pen in the Ice White color to add some detail to the tiny flower heads. The panel edge was distressed with Tsukineko VersaFine Majestic Blue ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. The panel was glued to a piece of Kraft paper that measured a quarter of an ink larger than the panel, then a piece of black card stock that was also a quarter of an inch larger. Finally, the matted panel was affixed to a piece of sparkly lilac colored card stock for a finished card that measures 5 1/4" by 6 1/2". I used a few magenta colored self adhesive pearls by Queen and Co. to finish off the project.
I hope you'll give the Tsukineko Walnut Inks a try. Just remember that Walnut Inks will stain so be sure to use these on a protected surface. You can also spray the inks onto a sponge dauber and apply them to torn edges and ribbons for an aged effect. Always allow Walnut Ink to dry before stamping or embellishing your projects. DeleteSo are walnut inks like alcohol inks? So so gorgeous Renee...like a Spring day turning cloudy and about to rain, but you enjoyed it first...you know? Love it!
ReplyDeletevery cool! love this! :)
ReplyDeleteI REALLY think this is beautiful!! Truly! I love that technique of using canned spray. I ended up with a similar look but I blew with a straw...LOL! Made me loopier than normal! LOL! I ended up turning mine into flowers, so it's very similar but I didn't use stamps. Maybe that's why I love it so much, it looks like something I did...and had a blast doing! LOVE your colors and the softness of the background!
