Have you seen Dina Wakley's new book Art Journal Freedom? I bought a copy of it last week and I must say I love it! I have been playing around with it, trying to copy her work. It is impossible for me to even make something that looks like her work. But the principles that she teaches are amazing and make so much sense, the book is a must read for those new to art journaling!
This is done on a piece of watercolor paper with Dylusions Ink Sprays, gesso and Inktense Watersoluble Ink Pencils. If you haven't seen her new book you are in for a treat. Dina is teaching here in May so we'll get a chance to enjoy her talents for a few days here in Mass.
Spring is right around the corner! Have a great week.
I've had her book for months, and have only read tiny portions...I'm ashamed. Tonight, I'll break it in. Gorgeous page...and on watercolor...cool!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous page, the colors are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWow Renee, what a gorgeous journal page, beautifully vibrant and I love your composition.
ReplyDeleteHa ha ha, I have been eyeing up her book since it was released, it sounds as if you like it very much. Would you recommend it as a worthwhile investment??
Hugs x
Oh my, this is gorgeous Renee!! I love the layers of colors! I bet it's really amazing in person. Such a lucky lady to have a teacher like that locally available. I'll definitely check out her book. I'm on the verge of jumping back into journaling, been collecting ideas on a Pinterest board. Have to pin yours!
ReplyDeleteLovely page! I agree - Dina's book is wonderful. Have a great weekend.
