Teddy Roosevelt was quoted as saying, “Comparison is the
thief of joy”. As artists we sometimes
are caught up chasing the idea of perfection instead of appreciating how far we
have come in the direction of our artistic dreams and goals. If you love what you’re doing and continue to
learn and grow artistically, you are already a success. Everyone’s journey is unique. You are good enough. This is a canvas showing how Delicata
Celestial Copper and Bronze Burst can warm up cool colors. Full instructions can be found here.

DeleteWhat a fabulous canvas, Renee - and what powerful thoughts in your words above too... It's so true how some days one finds so much inspiration visiting other artists and crafters, but other days you can just be overwhelmed by the creativity and artistry out there, and wonder why you even try!
ReplyDeleteI love the layered colours here, and how those important letters sing out, and I loved your comment today too. I'm still not back in proper visiting habit - there always seems to be so much going on. Very glad you nudged me to visit today though - this is an inspiring post in so many ways. Thank you.

What a wonderful post Renee- true words- thank you for the reminders ")
ReplyDeleteLove your canvas and especially the background- something about it really pulls me in! xo Off to read your tut!
This is really awesome, Renee! I love the layering of paper onto your prepared canvas! But, even more, I love the message! I know better, but, from time to time, still find myself staring at others' works and thinking that mine cannot compete. Then, I remember, I am creating for me! That brings me right back and I am again centered! Miss you!
ReplyDeleteShort but oh so thought provoking post...so true as well! Great canvas too!
ReplyDeleteThis is fabulous Renee, and I love the sentiment behind it all, so true, but easily forgotten xx
